Candle Burning Guide
S E V I N London is committed to sustainability, and we know you share that passion as you have already purchased a responsibly produced natural wax candle. Beyond that, we’d like to share a few tips to help you enjoy your candle for a long time.
Make a good first impression!
Candles, believe it or not, have excellent memories. If your first burn is right, you’ll be rewarded, and that’s quite easy to achieve:
Trim & trim
Trim your candle before each burn. You will need a wick length of about ¼ inch (0.5 CM). You can use scissors or a wick trimmer.
Aim for a steady flame
Candles should burn calmly. A high and flickering fire requires a little attention. If you notice that your flame is not burning calmly, make sure that the wick is well trimmed and there is no draft.
Let it burn
Let the candle burn for at least 3-4 hours to ensure that a nice layer of wax forms. This way you will use up all the wax available.
Take a break
After burning for 3to 4 hours, it is advisable to let the candle rest for a while. This way you can still enjoy the scent that comes out of the melted wax.
Keep it safe
Never leave candles burning unattended. Always burn candles away from drafts. For a detailed list of safety tips, visit the National Candle Association’s website.
And enjoy your candle for a long long time. When you need a new one, you can find here afresh.
